Departing Anacortes, I drove to Deception Pass State Park and then continued down to Coupeville where I took the last ferry of the day to Port Townsend.

I could say I planned to visit Deception Pass during the beautiful golden hour of late afternoon, but really I just waited to book my vehicle ferry reservation until the last minute and had to take the last ferry departing Coupeville at 9:10 p.m.
